Castelo do Mar is situated on the water’s edge of Linga-Linga, the tiny peninsula that juts into the Inhambane Bay in Mozambique. Our warm Mozambican hospitality ensures that guests enjoy relaxed accommodation in 22 elegant rooms, luxuriously decorated and air-conditioned with en suite bathrooms. We have a wide variety of activities on offer, such as fishing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkelling, canoeing, water skiing, water tubing, relaxing in our well-equipped library, or having fun in our games room. Our rates are inclusive of three meals per day and our guests are treated to exquisite meals in our Portuguese restaurant. Beachfront Deluxe
King-size bedrooms, 4 x upstairs & 5 downstairs, each with a spacious private patio, tea/coffee making facilities and en suite shower/toilet. Rooms can accommodate two additional stretcher beds for children up to 11 years of age. Children 12 years of age and older may be accommodated in their own room. Family Room – one room on ground level is an inter-leading family room with a separate bath/toilet. Honeymoon Suite – one room upstairs, is designed with honeymooners in mind including a Jacuzzi on the deck, under cover and filled on guest’s arrival.
The Castle
There are 6 bedrooms in the main building, each with en suite shower/toilet. These are private, cool rooms, located away from the beachfront. Children under 18 years of age are not accommodated in the Castle. Coffee/Tea trays delivered on request.
The Mangrove House
One double room is en-suite with direct access to a lounge & kitchenette. Two double rooms are en suite only, with external access to the lounge and kitchenette. All rooms are away from the beach and lead onto the lawn via glass sliding doors. The rooms are air-conditioned.
Manor House
Suitable for families, Manor House has 4 double rooms en suite, lounge and kitchenette and is air-conditioned.
Bar
Air-conditioned with a lounge area includes a long table for board games, a pool table, table tennis and blackjack/poker table.
Library & Lounge
An air-conditioned quiet area with an extensive and varied selection of books and magazines

Dining Room
Suitable for 40 covers, meals are served with passion and flair and décor is in keeping with the whale station history. An excellent wine selection is offered.
