Val Thorens, voted the best ski resort in the world in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 is the highest ski resort in the Alps and linked to the 3 Valleys, the world's largest connected ski area with 600km of slopes and 169 lifts. At 2300m it is snow sure from when the lifts open in mid-November to the end of April, and with a high point of 3200m and with six different lifts reaching over 3000m there is plenty of high-altitude skiing for everyone.
Activities on the slopes include carving, off-piste skiing, ski touring, a snow park and a boarder cross, whilst off the slopes there is ice driving, fat biking on snow, the longest toboggan run in Europe, a large sports centre and aqua-spa as well as the Tyrolienne, a 1.3km long zip line.
This together with the lively pedestrian streets, the many shops, bars and restaurants makes a stay in Val Thorens hard to beat.

La Rotisserie
The restaurant is right on the slopes with wonderful views over the Cime de Caron. It is open from breakfast until dinner and our head chef Jerome Godon has created dishes using fresh local ingredients. A choice of meats cooked in our wood fired oven, seared fish, dishes with Asian flavours and a large dessert buffet can all be enjoyed from the comfort of velvet benches in a room bathed in light.
La Terrasse
La Terrasse is the outdoor version of La Rotisserie. Facing south, the views from the huge terrace on the 7th floor of the building are simply magnificent. Right on the slopes, you can make the most of sunny days whilst gazing at the snow-capped peaks. Open all day, you can relax over a leisurely lunch or enjoy a drink, taking advantage of the last rays of sun after a day on the slopes.
Le Zinc
This is the place to be in Val Thorens. With its festive atmosphere, you can either share the platters of local produce, enjoy a glass from a choice of 145 carefully selected wines and Champagnes or choose an old rum or cognac. As the evening goes on, Le Zinc gets livelier with three nights a week of live music or DJs. Have fun with friends until late into the night.
Ski Room
This unique ski room takes the concept of a ski room to a whole new level.
At 200 m² there is plenty of space for everyone to comfortably get ready for skiing. There are also individual ski lockers with heated bot warmers for every room. There is even a bar within the ski room where you can enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate whilst relaxing on one of the comfortable sofas, before hitting the slopes. Toilets and showers are also provided so that you can maximize your time skiing on your last day. Right next door is the ski shop where you can rent all the equipment you need as well as buy from a large selection of ski accessories.
La cheminee
Relax after skiing in front of the open fire over a hot chocolate or crepe. Come here to drink a tea, immerse yourself in a novel, or just stare at the flickering flames. Whether it is for a snack after skiing, an aperitif, or digestif, La Cheminee is a refuge for relaxation.
Le Relax - A wellness area
With its black and white zen atmosphere, there is nothing better than to relieve aching muscles after a hard day on the slopes, in our wellness area with its large sauna and hammam. If it gets too hot either try out the ice-pillar or enjoy a herbal tea in the relaxation room with its mountain views.
